Congratulations to the Outer Limits team, which consisted of Gilbert Hanks, Vicki Hanks, Bob Moore, Matt Moore, Captain Jay Miller, and Mate Cory Robinson. You can find more on this great day here and here.  The team won the heaviest fish division with a 60.1 lb and the three fish aggregate with a total of 96.8 lbs. We couldn't be prouder of this team and this boat!

Key West Fishing at it's best aboard the custom sport fishing boat Outer Limits. Fish our pristine waters around Key West, Florida for sailfish, marlin, wahoo, dolphin (mahi-mahi), grouper and snapper.

Key West Fishing Charters

The Key West charter boat Outer Limits is a custom built 41- foot sportfishing vessel complete with comfortable air-conditioned salon, clean bathroom, cockpit with fighting chair and a roomy fly bridge. We can accommodate up to 6 anglers in comfort and style.

Live baiting for sailfish is one of our specialties. Conditions in April and May promote good sailflishing plus it is the time for large dolphin to move in closer too. Dolphin are being caught off Key West that top the scales at 50- pounds, plus there are plenty of 20- pound fish and some schoolie dolphin for the taking.

Trolling the deeper wrecks can produce some blackfin tuna, king mackerel and wahoo. It just really depends on the conditions.

May will be excellent for mutton snapper fishing. Trolling the outer bar for spawning mutton snapper is a lot of fun and we also tend to catch some nice sized grouper and yellowtail snapper.

Fishing in Key West Florida

The waters around Key West are what makes our fishing so special. Between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico we have numerous opportunities to fish offshore or fish near the reef or on wrecks. This provides us with the array of gamefish and eating fish that the Florida Keys are known for.

Captain Jay Miller has been fishing in Key West for more than a decade. His experience comes from spending time as a mate and as a captain. He utilizes many styles of fishing including trolling, live bait fishing, jigging and bottom fishing in order to give the best opportunity to catch fish.

The Outer Limits offers private fishing charters for four hours, six hours and eight hours. We provide all fishing tackle, fishing licenses, and a professional mate on board to assist with your fishing and to clean your catch.

One of the best display of aerobatics in our Key West waters is from the sailfish. We have a tremendous run of sailfish each year in the winter and spring months. We strive to give our anglers every opportunity to catch a sailfish if they desire. Captain Jay Miller uses many methods to fish for sailfish including kite fishing, live bait fishing and trolling.
